Stress & Anxiety - Motivator or Hurdle?

How can stress and anxiety be both motivator and a hurdle?

Anxiety Question:

How can stress and anxiety be a motivator for some and a giant hurdle for others?

Anxiety Answer:

I think some use that nervous energy from stress and anxiety and build themselves up for something - turn it into creative energy while others get so lost in the tension and stress that they can't focus enough - so it becomes a hurdle for them.

Everyone takes challenges, stress and anxiety and deals with them in different ways - like many parts of life - pain, grief, etc. - some push through it and remain strong and some succumb to it.

It depends on their mentality - a survivor or victim.

Build On Past Successes

"We know our character is determined by our experiences. More precisely, it is determined by our memories of days gone by. Think about the time you passed some stressful exam, got the job you were after, and most of all, the times you thought you might lose yourself to a panic attack, but maintained composure and succeeded. These past successes are what enable us to have confidence in how we will handle the future."

From the book titled "Panic Away" by Joe Barry.
