Is this Social Anxiety Disorder?

My 11 month-old has a phobia of some strangers and not others.

Anxiety Question:

My 11 month-old has a phobia of some strangers and not others. She attends day care once per week for an hour and she's fine there, but whenever her physical therapist comes over (once every two weeks) or we introduce her to someone new that is my or my husband's age or older she freaks out.

Is this social anxiety disorder? Any suggestions?

Anxiety Answer:

I don’t know if this is social anxiety disorder, but I can tell you that my 15 month-old little girl only acted that way around people who are, I don't want to say negative, but she felt something that wasn't right in people whatever that may be.

She used to act that way around my aunt until she saw her more often.

If she is around a certain person more when that person is happy or in a good mood she will feel that and eventually come to be comfortable around that person.

I hope I have helped you.

Dealing with Anxiety Advice

Your program has provided the best result for me!

I have suffered from panic attacks, anxiety and depression for many years and read a lot of self help books and bought a lot of programs. I was my own personal doctor, I went to a psychiatrist which was absolutely no good and tried other tapes and videos that did nothing for me.

When I discovered your "Dissolving Panic and Anxiety" CD, it was exactly what I felt I needed.

Your programs represent the best value and the best response that I have had so far. I feel a lot better, a lot more confident, and a lot stronger. This is truly no lie. I've learned a lot of things from the other places, but this program has done something to me. It has definitely helped me a lot!

Thank you!
