Help for Anxietyand Panic Attacks

What are some calming techniques for anxiety and panic attacks?

Anxiety Question:

I have panic attacks and anxiety when I’m in public and in big groups. What are some ways I can calm down?

Anxiety Answer:

You can visit your doctor to see whether anti anxiety medication is an option.

My anxiety and panic attacks are at night which prevents me from sleeping so I have been prescribed Tamazepam.

This may not be an option for you during the day but there are many anti anxiety medications out there that you and your doctor can discuss.

For more natural solutions visit a homeopath or you can take Bachs flower remedy which can be useful, I take it before meetings and it does work although I am left with a headache afterwards.

Breathing techniques can help as can meditation as you will be able to take you to a more comfortable zone in your head.

Dealing with Anxiety Advice

Don't Worry So Much!

"A recent study by the University of Michigan found that 60% of our fears are unwarranted, 20% have already become past events and are not changeable and 10% are petty and don't make any difference at all. Only about four of the remaining 10% of our fears are real and justifiable and we can't do anything about half of them! So this leaves about 2% of our fears that are really worth thinking about at all. Perhaps we could give ourselves permission to worry only about those things that are really worth it, and let go of the rest!"
