Heart Medication for Anxiety & Depression
My Doctor prescribed Toprol-XL to me for anxiety.
Is heart medication used for anxiety?

Should I be worried? My father recently passed away. I've been prescribed different medications for depression and anxiety (Lexapro, Ambien, Clonopin) but they are taken nightly and make me tired. During the day it's hard to function because of the grief I'm dealing with due to my father's sudden death.
My doctor prescribed Toprol-XL to take during the day.

Or talk to your pharmacist.
Also, my pharmacist told me not to eat anything with grapefruit in it, as it has an enzyme that changes the effectiveness of the medicine.
