Exercise a Cause of Anxiety

Can exercise be a cause of anxiety?

Anxiety Question:

Can exercise be a cause of anxiety?

Anxiety Answer:

Yes. It depends on how and why you're exercising.

If you are trying to fit into a dress before a certain date, it can be a cause of anxiety.

If the person you are with is judgmental about your weight and threatens to leave for someone slimmer, it can cause anxiety.

If you’re a model and your success is based on your weight, it can cause anxiety.

If you are self-conscious about your weight and feel you’re getting nowhere, although you're exercising that can cause anxiety.

Also, if you exercise excessively and are not eating and sleeping properly, you can develop anxiety from burn out.

Before developing an exercise regimen, it is wise to consult a physician to choose the right regimen for you.
