Can Environment be a Cause of Anxiety?

Can a city environment cause anxiety?

Anxiety Question:

Can your environment cause anxiety?
I find that being in the city sometimes has a wall-closing-in effect; but being out in the open with trees and open space has a more calming feeling.

Anxiety Answer:

I totally agree that environment can cause anxiety.

City vs. country?

My opinion is that people are very good at screwing up everything they come into contact with. Nature is perfection itself; unspoiled by our imperfection.

Being constantly reminded of our imperfection by all the concrete, aluminum, and buzzing electricity only aggravates our anxiety.

Set Small Goals To Build Confidence

"Each week, set small goals. When we're under stress or feeling depressed, we can feel like we aren't making a contribution. We feel lethargic. We feel that life has lost its purpose. If we set small goals, we can assign ourselves little tasks, which, when we complete them, will give us a sense of achievement and contribution."
