How to Avoid Speech Anxiety?

How do I avoid speech anxiety when speaking in front of a class?

Anxiety Question:

How do I avoid speech anxiety when speaking in front of a class?

Anxiety Answer:

The way I avoid speech anxiety is to be convinced about what I am going to say.

I will rehearse the thing I am saying if I have to do a report; that means that I practice it until it becomes a part of me.

If I am just called to speak spontaneously, I think more about my ideas and getting the class to understand them than about me.

I also think that I do not care what other people think of me; what is important is what I think of me. Most people think everyone else is better anyway and so they probably are impressed instead of critical.

Surround Yourself With Positive Thoughts

"Enough of looking at negatives! Let's get some positives in our life right now! Before you go to bed and when you awaken, read something positive. At the end of this book, I've listed some resources that have helped me enormously. Among them are a number of inspirational quotations. Every single morning, without fail, I read a couple of them."
