Anxiety Treatment That Works

Is there an anxiety treatment that really works?

Anxiety Question:

I have anxiety disorder. When it is really bad I think I'm going to die. Is there an anxiety treatment that will work?

Anxiety Answer:

I too suffer from anxiety and panic attacks and, at their worst, they are crippling.

I have a great doctor that treats me with anti anxiety medications (as needed) and I have found one anxiety treatment that personally works great for me.

When I feel an anxiety attack coming on I ask myself three questions and I can ALWAYS talk myself out of the feeling. They are:

  1. Where am I?
  2. What am I doing?
  3. What do I need right now?

Anxiety is usually the result of anticipating the unknown; these questions bring you back to the present.

When my therapist told me about this anxiety treatment, I thought she was kidding, but after I tried it once and it worked, I have not needed to take any anxiety meds for close to two years now.

Be Happy Where You Are Right Now

"Happiness doesn't come from continually achieving goals, losing lots of weight, owning big houses or wearing fancy clothes and jewelry. These can contribute, sure, but real happiness comes from being happy with who you are, where you are and who you are with right now. Happiness doesn't come from without, it comes from within."
