Anxiety Symptoms or Heart Attack?

shooting pains down my arm -
is it a heart attack symptom or an anxiety symptom?

Anxiety Question:

I had what I think was an anxiety attack; I've had mild ones before. However, I had shooting pains down my arm every time I'd try to breath. And the pain was 10 times worse, I couldn't even move.

I know that is a symptom of a heart attack in the left arm. However, it was down my right shoulder and arm.

I'm going in to see my doctor today but I thought I'd check if anyone knows if that is a heart attack symptom or an anxiety symptom.

Anxiety Answer:

Not everyone experiences the same symptoms when they have a heart attack, especially women.

Some people have the "classic" symptoms: sharp chest pain, shortness of breath, nausea and/or vomiting, sweating, pain radiating down the left arm and up into the jaw.

But some people can have "silent" heart attacks.

Just really depends on the person.

But definitely see a doctor ASAP to determine if it was a heart attack or anxiety symptoms.

Be Happy Where You Are Right Now

"Happiness doesn't come from continually achieving goals, losing lots of weight, owning big houses or wearing fancy clothes and jewelry. These can contribute, sure, but real happiness comes from being happy with who you are, where you are and who you are with right now. Happiness doesn't come from without, it comes from within."
