Anxiety Disorder - Signing Documents

I have anxiety disorder when writing in front of others and signing important documents.

Anxiety Question:

I have anxiety disorder when writing in front of others and signing important documents.

When asked to write in front of others my hands just don’t move or start to shake. When writing alone without anyone around me I feel better.

I tried homeopath and consulted a psychiatrist. Both feel I don’t have any problem but the problem still persists for over four years.
I have also tried anxiety meditation irregularly. Can anybody help?

Anxiety Answer:

There are many people who face different kinds of anxiety disorder.

There are also many people who have phobias.

If you have had this problem for over four years, you may want to see a therapist or try hypnosis. I don't know if there is an anxiety medication that will make this go away.

One way to work on it is by using exposure therapy. Start practicing doing this, when it isn't necessary, and if you have someone you feel you can trust to tell this too, have them with you as encouragement when you have to sign the documents, and continue on, taking steps to reach the goal of overcoming the anxiety disorder.

It sounds like it might be a phobia, and there are so many resources out there to help you learn how to overcome this.

Set Small Goals To Build Confidence

"Each week, set small goals. When we're under stress or feeling depressed, we can feel like we aren't making a contribution. We feel lethargic. We feel that life has lost its purpose. If we set small goals, we can assign ourselves little tasks, which, when we complete them, will give us a sense of achievement and contribution."
