Anxiety Disorder & Polygraph Tests

Does anxiety disorder affect a polygraph test?

Anxiety Question:

Does anxiety disorder affect a polygraph test? My husband is being aske to take a polygraph test on something that he is innocent of. He has diagnosed anxiety disorder. Will that cause him to fail?

Anxiety Answer:

Just have your husband take his documentation of anxiety disorder diagnosis with him, and the tester will certainly be sure to take it into account.

He will then ask plenty of questions, both simple and difficult, that do not have anything to do with the actual matter at hand. These are designed to avoid problems like your husband’s anxiety disorder.

I want to encourage you that if your husband has no reason to lie, he will most likely be fine on the test. Just be sure that they know ahead of time about his anxiety disorder.

Dealing with Anxiety Advice

Melodramatic no more!

I was literally at my wit's end when I ordered your "Dissolving Panic and Anxiety" CD. I was just thinking the worst all the time and freaking out over all the issues that had come to me. I ordered your CD and listened to it for a few weeks. I played it every night before I went to bed, and because it was a positive message, I listened.

Soon after, I knew your program worked! I had several deadlines and I wasn't freaking out! I knew that I would not be acting this calmly, because this is not the way that I am wired. Since I realized this, I have purchased more of your programs to help me think more positively. I am no longer melodramatic and can react more positively.

Thank you!
