Anxiety Disorder from Guilt

Can anxiety disorder stem from guilt...?

Anxiety Question:

Can anxiety disorder stem from guilt about something a person did wrong in their past?

Anxiety Answer:

I do believe this is a great deal of the source of anxiety disorder and OCD, in many cases.

It is almost like a predisposed fear of something bad that is going to happen to you because you deserved it for what you did, or perceived you did, and never got over.

Dealing with Anxiety Advice

I'm moving in the right direction now

I have had several setbacks in the last few years. I lost my husband to stroke, and then in November of 2005 my mother passed away. I was left pretty devastated by these deaths and due to a back injury and subsequent pain I had to retire from my profession. I was in a deep depression!

Soon after, I ordered your "Dissolving Panic and Anxiety" tapes and began listening at least once a day. Now I'm moving in the right direction. I'm making my to-do lists, getting up in the morning and enjoying life so much more. I am finding it easier to make important decisions, and anxiety and worry are not my constant companions. Thanks for letting me know that no situation is hopeless and that anyone, any age can have a better tomorrow if they can "Think Right."

Thanks Again, Mary
