I was using Prozac for awhile for anxiety disorder...
Anxiety Question:
I was using Prozac for awhile for anxiety disorder and came off it. Now I have gained weight. Why?
Anxiety Answer:
Is it possible you eat more as a nervous habit?
Perhaps your under treated anxiety disorder manifests itself in worse habits such as eating to deal with stress or being less active.
The medicine itself, fluoxetine (prozac), has no withdrawal side effects and no known description of weight gain.

Dealing with Anxiety Advice
Feeling so much better without anxiety medication!
I work in an aviation safety related field, the words "depression", "anxiety", or any other mental or emotional disorder cannot cross my lips without fear of losing my job.
I found myself feeling no identity, no confidence, no respect, no purpose, and no esteem in the job that had been so important to me for 23 years.
I was having daily headaches, muscle pain, TMJ, general malaise. I feared the idea of moving to an unfamiliar area at work, where I would no longer no what I was doing but would be the "rookie". I dreaded training again, so ordered your CD, "Dissolving Panic and Anxiety".
After listening to your program every night for three weeks, I still wake every morning feeling happy, rested, positive, and ready for the day. I've even been indulging my passion for writing! I'm eating well and feeling great!
There can't be a drug on the market that could make me feel as good as this!
I prayed that God would show me a way to feel better without drugs.
Thank you!!
